hI, we’re the washington civic center!

In the heart of downtown Washington, North Carolina, the Washington Civic Center stands as a testament to history and modern elegance. Once a bustling train depot, originally built in 1906,  this now sophisticated event venue retains a rustic charm melded with contemporary sophistication. 

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Civic Center boasts 14,000 square feet of event space and can accommodate weddings, fundraisers, corporate events, baby and bridal showers, retirements parties, and everything in between. The stately wood floors, exposed brick walls, and wood ceiling beams are the backdrop of a blank canvas, limited only by your imagination.

“Little Washington” or – as some locals call it – the “Original Washington” exudes small town charm. Upon arrival at the Civic Center, you are just a short walk to restaurants, locally owned inns, breweries, and the beautiful Pamlico River.
